Typical plumbing jobs we take care of.

Practical, sensible plumbing work in lived-in homes – from urgent leaks to planned upgrades in bathrooms and kitchens.

Leaks, drips & burst pipes

Tracing and repairing leaks in accessible pipework, replacing sections of copper or plastic, and sorting persistent drips from taps, traps and wastes.

Toilets, cisterns & flush issues

Fixing constantly-filling cisterns, weak flushes, noisy fills, leaking pans, replacement syphons, fill valves, flush buttons and toilet seats.

Showers, baths & basins

Replacing taps, wastes and traps, installing new showers and bath fillers, resealing and re-siliconing to stop water getting behind tiles or panels.

Kitchens & appliances

Sink and tap replacements, under-sink pipework, dishwashers and washing machines plumbed in, isolation valves fitted, and tidy re-routing of existing pipe runs.

Plumbing pricing – honest about unknowns

Plumbing often involves a bit of detective work, so we balance fixed prices with sensible time-based rates:

  • For straightforward swaps (like tap changes or visible trap replacements), we can often give a fixed price from photos.

  • For fault-finding and leaks where we can’t see the problem yet, we’ll agree a diagnostic visit and explain likely scenarios before we start opening things up.

  • For larger projects (bathroom changes, multiple fixtures, new pipe runs), we’ll give you a written scope and estimate so you know what’s included.

If we find something unexpected once we start – for example, rotten subflooring or badly-installed previous work – we’ll stop, show you what we’ve found and agree the next steps before adding cost.

How plumbing bookings work.

1

Show us the problem.

Send clear photos and a short description: when it started, how often it happens and where you’re seeing water, noise or loss of pressure.

For hidden leaks or bigger changes, we may suggest a short diagnostic visit first.

2

Get a plan & estimate.

We’ll outline how we’ll approach the job, what access we might need, and whether it’s likely to be a simple fix, a replacement or a small project.

You’ll know the day-rate or fixed price before we start, plus any “if we find X, we’ll call you” scenarios.

3

We repair, replace and test.

We arrive when we say we will, protect surrounding surfaces, carry out the work neatly and test everything properly before we leave.

You get photos of the finished work and clear notes on anything to monitor over time.
